Temple: This Shivasthalam is located on the confluence of 2 rivers Bhavani and Cauvery. The temple is located on the northern bank where the 2 rivers meet. The temple is constructed on a 4 acre land. The main tower with 5 tiers is located on the north side of the temple. Eventhough this temple is a Saivite temple for Lord Shiva as Sangameswar, there is a separate shrine inside this temple for Lord vishnu as Adhi Kesava Perumal with his consort Soundaravalli Thaayar. The shrine for female deity Vedhanayagi is facing east. To the right side of this shrine is the shrine for Lord Subramanya. Saint Arunagirinathar who visited Thirunanaa, has composed many songs (Thirupugazh) on Lord Subramanya. On the south side of the temple, the images of 63 Nayanmars are kept.
